IPL-4: Deccan Become Discharge Before Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians beat Deccan Chargers by 37 runs in the league match of IPL-4. Decan chargers could not chase the target of 173 runs made by Indians; Deccan made mere 135 runs after 20 overs losing 8 wickets. Captain Kumar Sangakkara scored most of 34 while Shikhar Dhawan contributed 25 runs.

Also by Christian Daniel added 21 runs. Lasith Malinga took three wickets. Three players were run out of the Deccan.

Earlier, electing to bat after losing the toss, Mumbai, on a total of 70 runs lost four wickets, but, thanks to a partnership managed by Andrew Symonds (44 not out) and Rohit Sharma (56 not out) for the fifth wicket record of 102 runs, Mumbai was able to give a challenging goal.

Symonds and Rohit for the fifth wicket is largest partnership carried out so far in IPL history. Both players made 24 runs in the last two overs of Daniel Christian with the help of three sixes and one four.

Rohit stroked three sixes and five fours on the 34 balls. Symonds become not out at 44 runs planting boundaries of three fours and one six on 33 balls. Also Sachin Tendulkar and Davao Jacobs contributed 28 and 32 runs respectively.

Amit Mishra from Deccan took two wickets giving 14 runs in four overs, while Ishant Sharma and Pragyan become succeed having one-one wicket.

Mumbai was good initially, but then four wickets fell at total 70 runs. Mumbai lost his 1st wicket of Jacobs at 47 runs .

Jacobs, after 32 runs in 20 balls with the help of five fours and one six, was caught out by Pragyan Ojha on the ball of Ishant Sharma. Then the captain Tendulkar and Anbati Rayudu contributed 23 runs for the second wicket.

Total of 70 runs, Sachin was also caught by Dale Steyn on the ball of Amit Mishra. Sachin Tendulkar scored 28 runs in 28 balls with the help of four fours.

Mishra, also took wicket of Rayudu. Rayudu's wicket fell at total70 runs scoring mere 7 only. Being out of Rayudu, it was the huge shock for Mumbai Indians but Ojha gave shock to Indians again taking wicket in his next over.

Ojha earned a big success for his team taking wicket of Pollard. Pollard, who is famous for stroking long - long sixes, could not even open an account.

Sachin Tendulkar @ 38: Live Thousand Years

Sachin Tendulkar has scored more than 32 thousand and 99 centuries in international cricket and with this, on Sunday, April 24 2011, he has become 38 years as today is his birthday. This desire of every citizen of India, the country's most wanted son live thousands of years and always been writing the name of India to the skies from his record.

If we tell Sachin Tendulkar largest sport representative in the world's cricket and the most complete batsman of this time, it would not be surprising as he has played 631 international matches in his 21 year international career (177 Tests, 453 one-day, 1 Twenty20) and made 32 813 runs to his name. And on April 2, 2011 he got world cup for that they had to wait 21 years.

There is no such any record associated with the batting which was not gathered by Sachin Tendulkar. Of course, he could not reach near to the Brian Lara's 400 runs, but 200 runs in one-day innings; the only personal record is his name.

Sachin are setting new records at this age. Tendulkar have batted all achievement in his name and now waiting for 100th international century, which will be his 38th birthday gift to his fans on his behalf.
Sachin, put 99 centuries in international matches (Tests 51, day 48), is one of those classical players seeing them not one but several generations grew up and to be like him, competition would run among many generation around the world.

Sachin is such a player whose bat is based completely on the art of reading the ball, traditional rules of cricket and fantastic balance through which a batsman decorated his innings. Of course, he should have all the strokes of cricket and should distill some new strokes with the time otherwise how the world know him.

In the last two decades, Sachin and his record has emerged to become synonymous with each other. Tendulkar is going to play and records are becoming, but neither his will of playing cricket is down nor his bat stopped making records.



Sachin Tendulkar was born on April 24, 1973 in a normal middle class family in Mumbai, As a child who was breaking the glasses of windows of his neighborhood would create a records in the coming year that no one would have thought.

Playing in the small age of 16th year for India, Sachin has made highest runs in the cricket world i.e. 18111 and 14692 in ODI and Test matches respectively.

Sachin played his 1st test match on 15 Nov, 1989 and played 1st International one day match 18 Dec, 1989 against Pakistan. This little master has proved his importance in all the three version of cricket that are Test, ODI and Twenty20.

Padma Vibhushan and highest sporting honor Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna awarded Sachin Tendulkar has individual score of 248 runs in test matches and unbeaten 200 runs in one-dayers. At the same time, Sachin has played highest 177 test and 444 international one day matches. Moreover, he has taken 45 and 154 wickets in Test and ODI matches respectively.

Master blaster is celebrating his 38th birthday today and for such great day, we should greet him and wish for him that he will continuously be playing for our nation like he has been playing.

Rayudu and Tendulkar played again a great partnership which was broken in the last over when Rayudu got run out at 53 runs.


Tendulkar pulling a shot for the boundaries. He made unbeaten 100 runs in the match played against Kochi Tuskers Kerala.


Mumbai Indians lost 1st wicket on 61 runs. Davy Jacobs scored mere 12 runs for the team.

Sachin Tendulkar Made Century At The Home Ground After 14 Years.

Sachin Tendulkar putting century in Twenty20 IPL cricket tournament of season 4 has once again locked the mouth many people who are looking the way of tendulkar’s retirement. Also, the local hero of Mumbai blessed the Wankhede Stadium by his hundred after 14 years.

Sachin at his home ground has played 11 one-day matches in which he scored 455 with the best average of 41.36. But, in this 11 innings, Tendulkar has crossed 100 runs only once.

On December 14, 1996 Sachin Tendulkar scored 114 runs against South Africa playing captainship inning. That match was won by India by 74 runs. The match was so special because of the amount raised from the match was dedicated to the former batsman Mohinder Amarnath for helping him. Tendulkar was chosen Man of the match.

Besides, Tendulkar put single century at the Wankhede Stadium in the Test Matches. Tendulkar scored a century was once again in the role of captain in the Test match against Sri Lanka in 1997, Tendulkar scored 148 runs in the India's first inning. However, the match was drawn.

Sachin put the third century in front of his home crowd. Sachin has beaten his age placing the unbeaten century in the Twenty20 match which is known for young players.

Although, after being Sachin’s fabulous century, Mumbai Indians lost the match. But young fans of Mumbai Indians still have hope that until sachin is playing like this, they can win the tournament.
